Unity Yoga Classes invites you to connect life-affirming themes with the physical movements of the body. Hatha Vinyasa yoga is a combination of dynamic movements through breath, static poses, pranayama (conscious breathing), meditation and relaxation. This yoga is beneficial to the body and also nourishes the soul with its uplifting themes, which are carefully crafted into each sequence to further endorse the union between a healthy postured body and nurturing our inner selves. These classes are suitable for those new to yoga, recovering from an injury, or interested in the finer harmonic details found in alignment. This class can help you cultivate greater states of acceptance, detachment, gratitude, compassion, and objectivity so that you can weave the tapestry of your life with grace and ease.
Classes warm up with gentle movements, sun salutations, standing postures, balancing and a cool down before savasana.

Andrea Kay Travis, RYT 500, Intuitive Eating Counselor
Andrea blends hatha and vinyasa yoga to cultivate each person’s mind-body-spirit connection with encouragement to feel at ease in their bodies. Students leave her class feeling strong and flexible in their bodies, plus expansive in their hearts. Her intention is to remind others of their innate worth, while inspiring them to honor their own personal values. Andrea’s passion is to guide people to release their limiting subconscious beliefs and return home to their intrinsic Truth. After years of feeling spiritually lost and experiencing a painful divorce, Andrea credits the practice of yoga to bringing purpose and direction to her life.
Andrea’s love of fitness started with weight training at age 15, which is evident in her emphasis on anatomical alignment and intentional breathing. As an army veteran and devoted mother, she embodies strength and unconditional love. In addition to her RYT500 certification, Andrea has completed training in Traditional Chinese Medicine, yin, restorative, psychic readings, and has a bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences. She is currently enrolled in a 2-year program to be ordained as an Interfaith Minister. When she is not supporting others along their spiritual journeys, you will most likely find her driving her two sons around town, starting a dance party, hiking, or curled up with a book.
