Advent: Love

Advent: Love

Love has come, is come, and shall come to all of us when we are ready to receive it.  We are at the part of Dickens, “The Christmas Carol”, where Scrooge is being visited by the Ghost of Christmas future.  This is the third and final revelation he needs in order to experience his transformation.  All of us can get a glimpse of our future reality by looking at our current life.  We shall receive more of the same!  Does that sound exciting?  Does it make you feel warm and fuzzy?  Or, do you get a little nervous?

In this lesson we will share about the future and what Scrooge had to learn, albeit, the hard way.  That life was reflecting back to him his thoughts, words and deeds.  In fact that is the way it works for all of us.  We’ll talk about how we can set ourselves up for the highest and best future we can possibly imagine!

“No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path.”

Gautama Buddha

“Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.”

Søren Kierkegaard

“God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in them.”
