Advent: Peace

Advent: Peace

In A Christmas Carol, Charles Dickens shows us the life of a broken and bitter man and his transformational journey to peace of mind. This is a metaphysical story with many life lessons and truths to glean from it. Scrooge represents the worst of how low we can sink when we give up on life. We see what happens when fear and regret take hold.

There is a little Scrooge in all of us. There is also great possibility and potential. It all depends on what you decide to do with your power to make choices.

In this lesson,  we share truths about the ghost of Christmas Present and how our lives are here and now. Today belongs to us, and we are here to embrace the present moment of Awareness.

“I wear the chain I forged in life,’ replied the Ghost. ‘I made it link by link and yard by yard; I girded it on my own free will, and of my own free will, I wore it. Is this pattern strange to you?”

Charles Dickens
