What is Affirmative Prayer? When most people think of prayer, they think of asking God to resolve their laundry list of needs. This kind of prayer is not always effective. In Unity we use “affirmative prayer” as a way of connecting with the God power within and asserting positive beliefs about the desired outcome. Rather than begging or beseeching God we are aligning with the divine.
We invite you to join with us for the next few Sundays as we discuss affirmative prayer and it’s practical application.
“You do not have a problem except the one that is in your own mind, and you put it there!“
Myrtle Fillmore
“Along with my spiritual practices of meditation, affirmative prayer, and visioning, what catalyzes my sense of aliveness is putting those practices into action by being of service to others.”
Michael Beckwith
“Through the art of affirmative prayer the limitless resources of the Spirit are at my command. The power of the Infinite is at my disposal.”
Ernest Holmes
